At three different times in his walk with God, the great Apostle Paul sought a request from God. But Alas! He was given the same answer from God thrice. And here is my question to you today – What is that thorn in your flesh?
Paul wanted God to take out that thorn in his flesh ( that disability, that limitation, that weakness), but God gave him an answer he did not expect. God said No! This thorn will remain but I want you to know that my grace is all that you will ever need to live, thrive and excel.
God’s grace is all that you need to walk through every painful experience and dark season.
His grace is sufficient enough to lead you through that wilderness experience.
His grace is more than enough and what you really need to walk away from your past and step into the life he has prepared for you.
So many times, it is easy to get tempted to say – Lord, take away this challenge, this thorn, this difficult season, this pain, this limitation, this bitterness and this anger. But here is what God is saying to you today- Daughter, my grace is all that you will ever need to walk through this season.
My grace is sufficient to carry you through every difficulty and challenge. And not just that, I want you to let my power find full expression in your weaknesses and trying moments.
What you see as a weakness, limitation and a challenge; God sees as an opportunity to express his power and reveal his glory through you.
WHEN YOU SEE A THORN IN YOUR FLESH, GOD SEES AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPRESS HIMSELF THROUGH YOU.
So, can I ask this again – What is that thorn in your flesh?
Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 NLT
