“Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread to the disciples so they could distribute it to the people. He also divided the fish for everyone to share.” Mark 6:41 NLT
There was a need. His disciples were helpless until 5 loaves of bread and two fishes surfaced from the crowd of women, children and men seated. How possible was it to feed a crowd with the little they had?
But Jesus took what they found, the 5 loaves of bread and two fishes. Guess what he did.
1. He looked towards heaven.
2. He blessed what he had.
3. He broke the bread and began to distribute it.
Jesus acknowledged God first and turned his entire focus on God.
Do you acknowledge God in every season of life? Is your focus on God or on the things you see and feel?
Jesus blessed and thanked God for what he had.
Did you know that gratitude is the power behind increase and multiplication? Are you thankful in good and bad times?
Jesus took the five loaves of bread and two fishes and began to break it. His last action was a complete act of faith and trust in God.
When he broke that little he had, he trusted that God will give the increase. And indeed God caused that little to be more than enough. Infact they had extra food after 5000 men excluding women and children were fed.
Jesus understood the principle of using what you have to create possibilities, solve problems, deliver solutions, empower and bless others.
He knew that it is always about trusting God wholly with the little you have, and taking those steps of faith that will eventually lead you to a place of more than enough.
So, what are you doing with the little you have today?
Use the little you have today to make a difference, give hope, make an impact, light up your world and watch God give the increase.
Will you trust God with your little today and take that step of faith?
