The Power Of Compassion(2)

anja

Many will remember this image showing Danish aid worker Anja Ringgren Loven, giving water to a little boy who was found wandering the streets of Akwa-Ibom state in Nigeria.

This little boy had been abandoned by his parents, he was found sick with worms and highly malnourished. Anja named him Hope and today this same child is doing so well.

Anja is the founder of the African Children’s Aid Education and Development Foundation (ACAEDF)  and has dedicated her time and resources to helping abandoned children accused of witchcraft in Nigeria.

We may be many worlds apart, but the power of compassion can easily flow from one heart to another.

We may be of a different race, yet the power of compassion can create bonds that will last forever.

We may be lost and in search of many answers, but the power of compassion can create pathways to destiny.

Many are broken and wounded while some are dying. Others have been called what they are not, as they fight to find their place in a lonely world. Now is the time to turn on the power of compassion.

It only takes a word, a gift, a hug, a smile, a donation, a prayer and your influence to light up someone’s world. One little act of kindness can change a life forever. Let us all turn on the power of compassion.

Many Hugs,

Ufuoma.
