Many years ago, before marriage and the kids, I used to write poetry. They were words that flowed from my heart, my life, my questions, my thoughts, my environment, my imagination, my relationship with God and the people in my life. And then I took a long break.
This year I am hoping to get back to writing poetry as the words come to heart. Perhaps those words will bless a soul and inspire hope and faith in someone’s heart.
Inspiring Hope Poetry Collection- Surrounded!
We (Christians) are always in the presence of God. There is never a non-sacred moment! His presence never diminishes. Our awareness of His presence may falter, but the reality of His presence never changes. – Max Lucado
Surrounded!
By his love.
On the dusty plains of Golgotha.
He died to save you.
His blood shed and glory revealed.
Bestowing on you mercy and grace.
His eternal love forever surrounds you.
Surrounded!
All around.
With his presence.
Though unseen and unfelt.
But with eyes now wide open.
Behold the angelic host of heaven.
A greater army surrounds you.
Surrounded!
Right inside the fire.
They refused to bow.
But a fourth man was with them.
Walking freely in the fire.
The son of God himself.
His presence surrounds you.
Surrounded!
By grace alone.
The gift of God.
Walking with you and working for you.
Before and behind you.
Blessings and miracles undeserved.
His boundless grace surrounds you.
Surrounded!
The Lord of host himself.
Like flames of fire around you.
His power and glory revealed.
In the den and in the Valley.
When afraid and helpless.
His power surrounds you.
Surrounded!
With his favor roundabout.
Working in your now and future.
Opening doors no man can shut.
Guiding your feet along the way.
Shielding you from the unknown.
His divine favor surrounds you.
Surrounded!
By his Spirit.
Alive in you and walking with you.
Comforter, Friend and Helper.
Counsellor, guide and Intercessor.
Sent by the Father to be with you.
His Glory surrounds you.
Surrounded!
By his power and his glory.
With his presence and angels.
Never alone. Never afraid.
He will never leave or forsake you.
“Never let the presence of a storm cause you to doubt the presence of God.”- Craig Groeschel
