Many years ago, before marriage and the kids, I used to write poetry. They were words that flowed from my heart, my life, my questions, my thoughts, my environment, my imagination, my relationship with God and the people in my life. And then I took a long break.

This year I am hoping to get back to writing poetry as the words come to heart. Perhaps those words will bless a soul and inspire hope and faith in someone’s heart.

A path we are all called to walk.
A glimpse of our tomorrow.
A road we must all travel.
A mystery many never want to unravel.

Destiny!

A place I want to be.
A story I want to share with the world.
A journey written by our maker.
A puzzle where many pieces will fit together.

Destiny!

I want to be where you are.
I want to follow as you lead.
I ask that you lead me on this path.
I pray that my feet never sways.

Destiny!

May my eyes stay focused on you.
When the journey seems so long.
May my feet stand strong along the way.
When I feel lost, broken and weary.

Destiny!

That deep bonds be formed on this path.
That great memories be created along the way.
That love be given abundantly on this journey.
That my destiny and life be flooded with God’s light.

Destiny!

My stories – be shared with the world.
My life – a gift and blessing to many.
My faith – a lesson in waiting and trusting God.
My destiny – a path I am called to walk alone.
