Why should you keep praying over your children? Aaron Burke in one of his ministrations said this – “Your kids can ignore your wisdom, they can shut their door and push you out of their lives, but they are defenseless against your prayers. When you pray – things happen in their lives. Circumstances show up. Friends show up in their lives. Things start happening in their lives. Because when parents pray, children are transformed.”
Dear parent, your prayers are seeds. Whether you are whispering a prayer of protection over your child on a Monday morning. Or you are spending time in deep intercession concerning a situation in your child’s life. I want you to know that every word spoken in prayer matters. Don’t stop praying. Keep planting those seeds in prayer.

Praying God’s Word Over Your Child
God’s word is a treasure of truths and promises that you can claim over the life of your child. There are promises of protection, health, wisdom, blessings and peace that you can hold on to and confess daily in prayer over your child.
The Bible is more than a book, it is God’s living word. It is alive and full of power to transform lives and bring about change in any situation. As Christians, we must learn to always tie our prayers to truths from the word of God. You can take a promise from the word of God and declare it in faith. Every prayer confession rooted in the word of God always yields results according to scriptures.
So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. – Isaiah 55:11

1. Your Heart Belongs to God
Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil so that I take part in wicked deeds along with those who are evildoers; do not let me eat their delicacies. – Psalm 141:4
Prayer Confession:
(Insert name), your heart belongs to God. The Holy Spirit lives inside you and has captured your heart. Your heart will never be inclined to do evil or tolerate any evil thought or thing. You will not dream of evil or thoughtlessly fall into bad company at any season in your life.
I pray in the name of Jesus that you will never be lured by the sweet talk of those who do wrong or evil. Your heart will never drift towards evil in any form – whether thoughts, ideas or actions.
Lord, guide my children away from temptation every single day of their lives. Lord, save them from sinful habits and from the company of those who are experts in evil. Lord help them to always overcome every evil seed trying to sprout in their hearts with the good of God that is inside them. I pray that my child’s heart will never be drawn to what is evil or take part in acts of wickedness. In Jesus name I pray. Amen!
2. You are Delivered
“Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.” – Proverbs 11:21
Prayer Confession:
(Insert Name), God delivers you from trouble. My heavenly father watches over you daily. He keeps you in all your ways and guides your feet away from every form of evil, trouble, disaster and mishap.
You are the seed of the righteous and God’s hand of protection is over your life. His wall of protection surrounds you roundabout. He will rescue you from difficult situations. I declare that God will always make a way of escape for you in times of trouble and disaster.
(Insert name), I pray for you today that you are delivered from the plans and schemes of the wicked. You are delivered from the snares and traps of the enemy over your life. You are delivered from the stronghold of sin.
You are delivered from friends and people who disguise as good yet are full of evil intentions. You are delivered from faulty mindsets, ungodly thoughts and the world’s way of doing things. You are delivered from the stronghold of fear and a counterfeit identity. You are delivered from every destiny destroying plan of Satan. God’s hand of protection covers your life from this day forward and forever more. Amen!
3. You are Satisfied with a Long and Full Life
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. – Psalm 91:16
Prayer Confession:
(Insert Name), God has promised to satisfy you with a long and abundant life. So, today I claim this promise afresh over your life and declare that you are satisfied with long life.
You will not be taken away in the midst of your days. Your life will not be cut short in the prime of your life. Your body will not be incapacitated by sickness or disease in the most useful years of your life. God will preserve your mind and body against every attack of the enemy. The mercy of God will always speak for you.
I cancel every assignment of premature death written over your life. God will keep and preserve you for his purpose and glory. You shall not die but live to declare the goodness of God in the land of the living. You will live and live well. Your days will be long and full of the many blessings of God. Your years will be many, productive and fulfilling in the name of Jesus. My heavenly father will keep you strong, healthy and blessed. In the mighty of Jesus. Amen!

Ohmygoodness, I really needed this encouragement this morning. My hubby and I have been praying for years and are just beginning to see a teeny tiny shift in the spirit world where our children are concerned but we have noticed and are praising God for the shift and believing for more.
