No Condemnation in Christ: 11 Powerful Affirmations from Romans 6 & 8

What if the reason you keep losing the battle against sin is not a lack of willpower, but a lack of knowledge about who you already are in God and your authority in Christ?  There is now no Condemnation in Christ. Let’s take a look at 11 Powerful Affirmations from Romans 6 & 8.

The enemy knows that a woman who understands her identity in Christ is a dangerous woman and threat to Satan’s kingdom. So, he works hard to keep her focused on her failures, weaknesses, flaws rather than on her God – identity and freedom in Christ. Satan wants you living with a counterfeit identity. He wants you held captive by your weaknesses and watch you daily rehearsing your shame instead of declaring your deliverance and freedom in Christ. Satan wants you stuck in a life of guilt and condemnation instead of walking in your freedom.

“Sin shall no longer be your master, because you are no longer under the law, but under grace” — Romans 6:14

Those words are not a prayer request, but a promise of God from scriptures. Apostle Paul in the preceding verse speaks to us about not offering any part of our bodies to sin. You either surrender yourself (mind, spirit and body) to sin to be used for wicked purposes. Or you choose to surrender your whole being to God to be used for his righteous purposes. It’s your call.

Yet so many of us still live as though sin is fully in control in our lives. We battle the same patterns, struggle with the same temptations, and carry a shame that feels like it will never lift. We wake up each morning hoping that day will be different and on some days it is. But then the familiar pull and voices comes, we stumble and fall and we are right back where we started.

But here is the truth: the fight has already been won. The question is whether we know it and will embrace this victory Christ wrought for us. Sin is no longer your master. When we were baptized into Christ, our old sin nature was crucified with Him so that this body that was ruled by sin be done away with, and that we should no longer be slaves to sin. Romans 6:7 TPT says this – Obviously a dead man is incapable of sinning.

And no wonder God’s word says this to us – If any man is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away and all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17) This new life which we have received in Christ has freed us from the power of sin.

So today, we are taking these truths off the pages of scripture and putting them in our mouth. Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that the power of life and death is in the tongue. What you consistently declare shapes what you believe. And what you believe determines how you live. These affirmations are not just words. They are seeds and weapons to help you reclaim your God-given identity. They are rooted not in how you feel, but in what God has permanently, irrevocably spoken over your life in Christ. You are a child of God. This is who God calls you and nothing can change that. Say these affirmations in the morning before the day begins. Declare them when temptation, guilt and shame knocks and whenever the enemy whispers that you will never change. You have been set free in Christ Jesus and are now walking in this freedom.

11 Powerful Affirmations from Romans 6 & 8

From Romans 6

1. I am dead to sin and alive to God. I am unresponsive to sin’s appeal. I live daily for God’s pleasure in union with Christ.

“In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.”Romans 6:11

2. I refuse to give sin the opportunity to rule over my life. I do not have to obey the cravings of my flesh and give in to sinful desires. My body belongs to God and will never be a tool in the hands of Satan.

“Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.”Romans 6:12

3. I declare boldly that sin no longer has dominion over me. Sin is no longer my master. Sin has no power over me. Sin will not rule over my mind, soul and body. Sin has no power over me. Sin will not conquer me because God already has. My life is a product of grace. I won today and will keep winning.

“For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.”Romans 6:14

4. (Insert name), your body will not be an instrument or tool of evil to serve sin. I refuse to offer any part of my body to sin to be used as weapons of unrighteousness. No part of my body will ever be used to do any ungodly thing. I offer all parts of my body to God as instruments of righteousness.

Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. – Romans 6:13

5. I have been set free from sin. I am no longer a slave to sin but have become a slave to righteousness. God has set me free and I live openly in His freedom. No more shame. No more fear. No more guilt. I am walking in my freedom henceforth.

“You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.” Romans 6:18

From Romans 8

6. There is no condemnation over my life. I belong to Christ. No guilty verdict, punishment or accusing voice stands over my life. The case is closed before. I am free and joined in life-union with Jesus.

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”Romans 8:1

7. I walk according to the Spirit, not the flesh. I will not live as my human nature tells me to. God’s Spirit lives inside me and directs and guides me. I am no longer controlled by my sinful nature but by the Spirit of God.

“You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.”Romans 8:9

8. My mind is set on what the Spirit desires. I refuse to be controlled by my human nature. I have a mindset that is controlled by the Spirit of God. My mind is saturated with the peace of God as I yield it daily to the Holy Spirit.

“The mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”Romans 8:6

9. I put to death the misdeeds of the body by the Spirit. I will not live my life controlled by the flesh. I refuse to let my flesh dictate to me how I live. I overcome and conquer the desires of my flesh by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives inside me.

“For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.”Romans 8:13

10. I am more than a conqueror through Christ that loved me so much that he died for me. By God’s Spirit, I have conquered the stronghold of sin over my life and walk in victory daily. Sin no longer has any power over me and nothing will ever separate me from the love of God.

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:37-38

11. I am a daughter of God, not a slave to fear. I am a bonafide child of God. I reject the spirit of slavery that leads me back into the fear of not being good or worthy enough. I have received the Spirit of Sonship that gives me the right to call God my Father. I am now a part of the family of God and now live with this consciousness. I belong to God and I am his child.

“The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.”Romans 8:15

No condemnation

Conclusion

Dear sister,

These affirmations are not a one-time read, but are most powerful when it becomes a daily practice. Pick two or three that speak directly to where you are right now in your life, and go back to them each morning or evening. Say them out loud. Say them when temptation arises. Say them when shame and guilt whispers that nothing has really changed. declare them out loud in faith and let the enemy hear them. Jesus already died for your freedom. You are free, delivered and righteous.

Declare this today:

I am who God says I am.

Sin is not my master.

Condemnation has no place in my life.

I walk in the Spirit and have conquered fleshly desires.

I am free and walking in this freedom God has given.

I am a daughter of God and nothing will ever change that.

A Prayer Over You

Father, I thank You for the finished work of Jesus Christ. Thank you for giving my sister the grace to embrace her freedom and new identity in God. Set her free from every counterfeit identity and lies that the enemy has spoken over her life.

Holy Spirit, be her strength in every moment of weakness. Give her the courage to choose the pathway of righteousness in times of temptation. Teach her to walk in what You have already declared true. She is not striving for her freedom and deliverance today. She is walking in the reality of it. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

  1. Amen, sweet friend!! Thank you for this powerful post, very encouraging to read this morning! A woman who knows her identity in Christ is a powerful force for the enemy to reckon with! He used to work tirelessly to keep me focused on my failures, weaknesses, and my millions of flaws rather than keeping my focus on my God. I love how you said Satan wants us living with a counterfeit identity. What a powerful way to put this. He wants us held captive by our weaknesses and watch us daily rehearsing our shame instead of declaring my deliverance and complete and total freedom in Christ. I am so grateful I am not longer stuck in a life of guilt and condemnation. Instead, I walk in freedom!!! Thank You, LORD! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
