Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the Lord his God. 2 Chronicles 14:2 NIV
This statement caught my attention as I read though this chapter some weeks ago.
Here was a king thrust into leadership in a certain season of his life. He took it in good faith and made a choice to do that which was right before God.
The Bible says that his nation was at peace throughout his reign. And I personally believe that the key to his great and unforgettable reign can be found in the choices he made.
A young king made a choice to do that which was right and good before God. Not what was right and good before men, but he was more concerned about what his choices, actions and decisions meant before God.
King Asa measured his standards against God’s standards and God honored him.
It is your turn.
As a mother, are you doing that which is right and good before God?
What are those things that are right in your life?
What are those things that are good before God in your life?
What are those things that are bad?
What are those things that are wrong that you do in your alone moments? Especially when you think no one is watching.
Think about it.
